Seems Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has lost interest even in new capital Amaravati City. Earlier there were lots of news regarding the capital. But so far there has been muted response and there were no updates too.
Recently centre gave Rs.850 Crores as funds for the new capital and Chandrababu diverted that amount for irrigation projects. This forced the centre to stop all benefits and funds to Amaravati. They also demanded Andhra Pradesh Government utilizes all 850 Crores funds and submits a certificate with respect to proof of completion.
Centre is just making this as a serious issue. Union Finance Ministry also called Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary and raised serious objection regarding Amaravati funds. TDP Government already faces heat with respect to financial irregularities.
Pattiseema project is one of the examples for financial irregularities. Right now Andhra Pradesgh Government must take Rs.850 Crore from its own pocket and submit utilization certificate to Centre to get fresh funds. Else things won't be fruitful in future.
