The Hyderabad School Parents Association has teamed up with NGO’s has organized a Joint Action Committee to fight against the school fee increase at Telangana. With regard to the hike in school fees, the JAC SFR has urged the government to take the problem and to unite the entire management problems under a single umbrella.


The Committee comprises of Members from the Telangana Peoples Education Reform Movement, MV Foundation, Child Rights Protection Forum, Students Federation if India, All India Students Federation and Association for Promoting Social Action.


Out of 61 Lakhs students in the state, around 30 Lakhs students are studying in private schools. The JAC SRF will conduct an all party meet on March 9th to build pressure on the government. The meet will discuss about the school fee increase and a bill will be passed in the State Legislature to organize an autonomous fees structure for private schools.


The establishment focuses also on the fee increase which should not be made for the financial year 2016-2017. If the government fails to accept the same, huge protest march will be organized across the state.
