A young 25 year old constable was electrocuted yesterday night as he was on bandobust at Kasibugga Siva temple. The constable name was identified as B.Srinivas. A witness who saw the accident said, "Srinivas was watching some devotees including some children trying to enter the sanctum sanctorum.
As there was a water tank adjacent to the sanctum sanctorum, Srinivas began pushing back them towards. When he was trying to keep them away, he himself got slipped and fell in the water.
Electric wire connected to motor was touching the water and he suffered huge electric shock. He also had a head injury." Temple Staff took him to Osmania General Hospital and he is still undergoing treatment. Despite treatment he passed away by early morning.
Srinivas is a bachelor and he has two brothers and one sister. Commissioner of Police said, "We will talk to officials of CPDCL and will provide compensation to his family. Final rites will be performed with all police honours. We will make sure that the family gets all the benefits."
