Remote Monitoring System (RMS) will be installed in Velachery power plant and apart from that they will also be installed in Chennai and Thoothukudi. This RMS is already installed in  countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Australia, ensuring 24*7 power supply.

Regarding this, James Rajan who is Vice President of Wartsila India said, "This monitoring station will help in overcoming our defections and will also make sure that all power installations work at optimum capacity. We want to ensure that we fix all problems before they hamper our production.

We are supplying to both captive and independent power plants across a range of sectors from zinc mining to car manufacturing. We are right now checking with capacity of 3000 MW.

Data is being monitored real time and we can alert our clients before feeder reaches crucial point. We are right now checking it at Velachery. Once this becomes successful, we will install it everywhere across India. We are also meeting some demands regarding this RMS."
