Solar Eclipse occurs when Moon passes between Sun and Earth. The moon fully or partially blocks the Sun. Yesterday we reported that one can witness this Solar eclipse in Chennai for about 26 minutes and we also warned about not watching it with naked eye.
Most of the people showed more interest to watch the solar eclipse. But everyone turned disappointed as it was a cloudy morning today. 2016's first Solar eclipse was completely invisible to people of Chennai.
Earlier it was said that, this Solar Eclipse will be visible for people in Chennai, Kanyakumari and Kolkata. However this Solar eclipse was visible to people of Indonesia and Hawaii islands. Even the view was clear from Pacific ocean.
As per the reports, everyone in Chennai were ready to watch the Solar eclipse by early morning 6:22am. There was a huge crowd at Chennai, Beasant nagar beach. Even cops were called to control the crowd. But due to clouds, the solar eclipse was not visible.
