Union Minister from TDP, Sujana Chowdary was conspicuous by his absence during AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s tour in Delhi. The official reason given for this was that Sujana Chowdary is not doing well and he couldn’t be on Chief Minister’s side.
However there are reports emerging that the current terms between Sujana and Chandrababu is not that well. With bank allegations on Sujana and the court recently ordering him to personally appear, Chandrababu is reportedly not in favour of renewing his Rajya Sabha membership.
Hence his tenure will be ending very soon. This implies that Sujana Chowdary’s Union Cabinet Berth may be lost and this has reportedly foiled the relations. Hence Sujana is contemplating quitting TDP and joining BJP.
He feels that will help him to shield from the case on him and there is a possibility of getting re nomination from BJP and becoming a Union Minister. There are many in TDP who feel that Modi wont take such big risk for Sujana. At the end, the bad omen for TDP when it comes to its Rajya Sabha MP’s may be proved again. So far more than 20 leaders quit TDP when they were Rajya Sabha MP’s.
