K T Rama Rao was no match at all for the AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on the 'Metro Rail' issue. MIM had been seeking a realignment of the Metro Rail in Old City for a long time as it feels the original design will harm many religious and heritage structures.
But the earlier United AP government had categorically refused to do so. Although TRS promised big things, it has fallen in track with progress of Metro. Anguished by no response, a fully charged up Akbaruddin termed the agreement between Telangana and L&T, as the biggest scam ever.
He gave out some facts for supporting his accusations. Owaisi reiterated the concessionaire would get a chance to exploit 18.5 million sft in terms of commercial space, passenger fares, parking fees and advertisement revenue and make whopping Rs 1.18 lakh crore in 35 years.
In a way then both MIM and TRS fought against last CM of United AP, Kiran Kumar Reddy tooth and nail but now TRS has changed its stand. At the same time MIM is gearing up to treat TRS led government in the same manner as how they considered Kiran Reddy!
