The Telangana Tourism Development Corporation has huge plans related to the budget and an amount of 232 crores was sanctioned to the youth development, tourism and culture. The budget allocation has affected many new plans of implementing Bhongir Fort into a trekking destination, setting up tourist spot at Bogatha Waterfalls and converting Jodeghat village in Khammam as the dream destinations for the film directors is totally collapsed because of the insufficiency of the funds allotted for the tourism department.


The industry experts have said the fund sanctioned will not be enough for the development of the tourism in the state, which is just 5% of that of the country. The tourism department had plans to build a cable car facility and make it as an entertaining sports camp.


The new budget plans has not at all given priority to the tourism department, which will be the greatest collections for the tourism department. Previously the tourism department has future plans to develop olden form of constructing houses of Zamindars and the idea was planned few years back and presently because of insufficient allocation of funds, the idea will be dropped by the department.


Rashid Ali, the Managing director of Holiday Hunter said there are no new places to discover in the city except Golconda and Charminar. He said the government has no plans to build more places and because of lack of fund allocation the departments focus and dream will not be fulfilled.
