Even a pauper turns arrogant the moment he/she tastes power. This was proven many times in assemblies across all the states of India that is Bharat. Just like in Mahabharata where Duryodhana,Dussassana,Karna and Sakuni used all their wicked ways to grab power,in the modern Mahabharata, power hungry politicians go to any extent to crush their opponents.

Assemblies are becoming ruling parties addas and no party is an exception. While in parliament those in power use vaious ways to crush opposition stifling their voice, opposition show their power by stalling the proceedings. All parties act as chameleons when in power and when not in power. In their quest to reach malicious missions they turned government agencies like CBI,ED,IB and others as mere pawns at their hands. Even the posts of President,Governors,Speakers are turned puppets.

Now assembly sessions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are attracting the attention of entire nation. AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu and Telangana CM KCR may be bitter enemies and their parties TDP and TRS are at logger heads. However both are using similar strategies to wipe out opposition. Chandra Babu Naidu in his outrage, lost his cool and got YSRCP MLA Roja suspended from the assembly. Speaker Kodela Shiva Prasad Rao though experienced followed his masters voice.

What is more shocking is even after High Court's interim order allowing Roja to attend the assembly session,TDP government is adamant in not permitting her into the house. True Roja might have used derogatory language but there are other means to take action against her as per law. Roja is the not the only MLA to use foul language. Almost all MLAs from across the country are using the same language and after much hue and cry get the words expunged from the records. However TDP government tried to be different.

They seem to have forgotten that their own MLAs and Ministers are matching YSRCP MLAs foul language in the assembly. Things are no different in Telangana assembly. CM KCR known for his high handedness sometime back suspended many opposition MLAs just for protesting against his government. The role of speaker in allowing merger of opposition leaders who joined TRS by sitting over their resignation resulted in controversy and TRS government sought to ignore High Court strictures on many occasions.

Now a days parliament and assemblies resmble a wrestling or boxing bout with everyone having free run for fist fights unlike in the olden days where one witnessed healthy debates. One cannot expect more than this since most of the elected representatives have criminal, murder, rape and corruption cases against them and who only believe in freedom of speech but not in respecting the constitution or the nation.
