On March 23rd, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar was not allowed to address at a meeting at Hyderabad Central University (HCU) amid escalating protest over resumption of duty of the Vice Chancellor Appa Rao Podile.


Meanwhile the authorities also restricted political leaders and the media personalities from entering into the college campus and have suspended the classes for four days. After the arrival of Kanhaiya, he has told the press persons that the Joint Action Committee for the Social Justice of HCU will continue with the protest till the center brings out Rohith Act.


The JNU’s President was planned to address at the JNC seeking justice for a Dalit Research Scholar Rohith has committed suicide at the college campus on January 17th.  The VC objected the President to speak at the Meeting which was organized.


Meanwhile police officials has said additional police force was deployed at the VC’s residence which was vandalized by the students as they restricted his return as VC after two month leave. Presently the situation is peaceful as police forces are deployed to maintain law and order.
