Telangana Government aims to build world-class animation and gaming city. This is going to be the 'Dream Destination' for businesses related to Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics. The Government of Telangana has decided to set up this Animation and Gaming city in Ranga Reddy district as per state's 'Image Policy 2016'.
This is now going to make Hyderabad as the most favourable hot-spot for investment in animation, visual effects and allied sectors. This will also attract major MNC's and R&D companies in the state. This also targets at facilitating a legal framework for 'IP' (Intellectual Property) creation.
The Government has planned to make this as 'First of its Kind' in India. To boost this, Government has created an Incubation Centre dedicated for animation, visual effects, comics and gaming industry (AVCGI) start-ups.
The Government also planned to give entertainment tax exemption and few other incentives. Also in future, more Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movies can use this place for Visual effects. The Government will soon allot huge funds for this animation city. Finally, this is a boon for all gamers !
