Years may pass but people can never forget the heinous rape of Nirbhaya in 2012 in the national capital Delhi. Already the most barbaric juvenile walked free out of the court. Now four convicts in Nirbhaya case got boon from the Supreme court. 
According to the latest Supreme Court appointed top lawyers, senior advocates Raju Ramachandran and Sanjay Hegde to defend them. Supreme Court's decision comes after a bench of Justices Dipak Misra, V Gopala Gowda and Kurian Joseph felt that they should be defended by experienced lawyers and one shouldn't deny them justice. 
However the convicts' counsel opposed Supreme Court's decision saying they would argue the case.However court rejected their submission saying "no one can prevent the court from appointing amicus curiae" 
Two years after staying the execution of death sentence of the four convicts, the apex court began final hearing on their appeal on April 4. Many people feel that Supreme Court is keen to ensure the release of the convicts.
