Power Star Pawan Kalyan had willingly campaigned for TDP-BJP
combine during last general elections and played an important role in
bringing this combination to power. He may have launched his own
political outfit Jana Sena Party, but he is yet to expand it seriously.
He
is still considered close to BJP, and not openly against TDP but some
of the dialogues he has mouthed in “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” was reportedly
aimed at Chandrababu Naidu. If the film was a major hit, then chances
were high that Pawan would have fully focused on politics.
Even
AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had reportedly enquired about the
result as well as the contents of “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” which hit
screens on Ugadi festival. One of the dialogues goes like this “When
taking help you don’t remember the caste. Once the work is done, you
remember that I don’t belong to ruling class.”
This
was directed at TDP and some of the recent allegations by TDP leaders
during the Kapu reservation struggle. Chandrababu Naidu is anyway not
happy with such dialogues and at the same time, TDP is happy that all
such things in the film has not been hyped as the film is not doing that
well!
