Soon after following the Puttingal temple tragedy that killed more than a 100 people, Kerala High Court has imposed a ban on Sound making fireworks displays in all places of Worship in the state between Sunset and Sunrise.


The tragedy occurred on Sunday when sparks from fireworks fell on a store room and due to over crowd, most people failed to survive. More than 400 people were injured in this mishap. The High court also sought state government's opinion whether CBI investigation is necessary on the Kollam temple tragedy.


The High court also asked the state Government whether any 'anti nationals' were invovled in this tragedy as the area is close to sea. Justice V. Chitambaresh said, "The time is more ripe for Judicial intervention to avoid more mishaps in future.


And here by we ban the use of high decibel explosive fire crackers." Violating the rules is expected to be a criminal offense. So with this new rule, only low decibel Chinese-type crackers can be permitted for display.
