On Tuesday the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will formally commission a new Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) at Chintur in East Godavari district and he also told that the ITDA will cater to the needs tribal people in four revenue mandals which have been merged to Andhra Pradesh from Telangana after bifurcation.


The seventh ITDA in the state is Chintur and it will cover four mandals which includes Bhadrachalam, Kunavaram, Chintur and Vara Ramachandrapuram, which has currently become part of East Godavari district. These mandals were initially made part of existing Rampachodavaram ITDA after the merger.


The people in these mandals were facing difficulty in accessing services because of geographical constraints and the state governance has planned to establish an exclusive ITDA with Chintur as the headquarters, which was declared by the AP Information and Public Relations Commissioner Krishna Mohan.


For the very first time after the merger with AP, Naidu made a visit on Tuesday and had interaction with the tribals where many development programs and he have catapulted welfare schemes in the region. The three other revenue mandals are Velerupadu, Kukkunuru and Burgampahad were also merged from Telangana and were brought under K. Ramachandrapuram ITDA in the West Godavari district.
