India desperately needs to upgrade its fighter jets and right now we have jets which are facing engine troubles and poor maintenance. The twin-engine Rafale warplane is capable of carrying out a variety of missions – ground and sea attack, air defence and air superiority, reconnaissance and nuclear strike deterrence.

India is planning to buy 36 French Rafale fighter jets and the negotiations are almost done. The price will be set around $9 billion which is equal to Rs.65,000 Crores. Both sides hoped to wrap up the strategic order during President Francois Hollande’s visit on January 26th. But the bargain went on and it stationed the final result.
