It is Official now. Andhra Pradesh Government will be seeking loan of Rs.6600 Crores from World Bank to construct Amaravati city. Chandrababu Naidu completely lost all the hopes of getting assistance from centre.
So now the Government is left with no choice and they need to seek help from World Bank. Also on the positive side, Centre has already given a NO Objection letter to the State Government to allow it to approach the World Bank. Officials from World Bank also said that they have accepted Andhra Pradesh Government's request.
Chandrababu is also trying to mop up from other sources. He already got HUDCO as partner for the capital construction. Already a MoU was signed during the Partnership summit which took place in January 2016 at Vishakapatnam.
HUDCO would also make an advance of Rs.7500 Crores. Andhra Pradesh Government has also asked the centre for 4000 Crores every year for construction of Amaravati. But centre has just provided 1850 Crores. This clearly has caused upset for the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.
