The Indian Association for the Blind School in Madurai has secured 100% pass with all the 31 students who has appeared for the exam clearing it and this is the third consecutive year that the school which is located in Sundarajapuram, is achieving the feat.


P Arunkumar, one of the students of the association has secured a total of 1,138 marks with his highest being 196/200 in Geography and apart from this, he has scored 189 in Tamil, 189 in English, 191 in Economics, 188 in History and 189 in Communicative English.


Arunkumar did not excel only in studies, he has also established himself in sports and is a member of the state's visually challenged cricket team and has won many matches for his team and he is at present staying with his grandmother and uncle in Bengaluru had come down to the city ahead of the results.


Many students from the institute have scored more than 1,000 out of 1200. Arunkumar’s classmate P Pandiarajan has secured 197 marks in History and 194 in Communicative English and apart from using Braille books, these students adapt different methods like audio and video equipment to learn their subjects.
