The DMK President Karunanidhi has told that he has also thanked his supporters in Tiruvarur for having honored its son of soil by giving a victory with the highest margin in the state over 68,000 votes and he has told that the party has secured a total of 1.71 crore votes as compared to AIADMK's 1.76 crore votes.
He has stated that in terms of vote share, the party has along with alliance partners has got 39.7% whereas AIADMK has received 40.8%, and the difference is just 1.1%, despite this, AIADMK is the ruling party and we are in the opposition.
Karunanidhi has met the press at party headquarters and has told that the action of EC is a conspiracy against DMK. How many seats did PMK and BJP, which have approached the HC, win in the recently concluded elections to seek further postponing of polling in these two constituencies.
Karunanidhi has alleged that EC, which is acting as if it is a slave to Jayalalitha government, is postponing the two elections as DMK needs two more assembly seats to succeed in the Rajya Sabha election.
