BJP’s Andhra Pradesh in charge Siddharthnath Singh recently held a
core meeting of BJP in Vijayawada which was his second such meeting
within few weeks. This time however it is heard that the Andhra Pradesh
BJP leaders played left, right and centre with him.
Sources
say that both of them discussed how BJP has been sensing that every
issue of neglect towards Andhra Pradesh is being highlighted here and
BJP is being projected as villain. The expectation is that there will be
more negativity towards Chandrababu.
BJP plans
to encash it by making some last minute announcements just one year
before elections but it has clearly manifested as pro-Chandrababu
sympathy because people in AP believe more or less that Modi is wantedly
neglecting the state which is in dire need of central support.
In
spite of Siddharthnath Singh’s repeated assertions to AP BJP leaders
that they are not convincing people about the ‘great’ assistance being
given, they no longer accepted it at face value. They made it clear that
some big package has to be announced to cover their credibility after
special status is not being given!
