It looks like that the fates of America are changing fast. In country after country, where the American dream had enthused the younger generation once; now the things seem to be turning volte face. We have not yet forgotten the instance shoe attack on the erstwhile U.S president George Bush, in a Middle Eastern country. Now came the turn of the present U.S foreign minister, Hillary Clinton.  It is reported that the protestors have thrown shoes, tomatoes and water bottles on the convoy of her, at Alexandria in Egypt. The protestors have done this, in order to show up their anger, as to the American intervention in the Egyptian internal affairs. It is already known to most of us that, Egypt is one of the first countries to oust its dictator (Hosni Mubarak) during the ‘Arab Spring.’ But, as things stand out most of the people in Egypt believe that, their revolution was hijacked by the countries military, which has close links with the U.S. In the recent past some of the officers of the Egyptian military were provided with the training, as to the media suaveness, in the U.S.A. More over the party that has won the recent parliamentary elections i.e. Muslim Brotherhood, was made to remain as just a titular power, because of the machinations of the Egyptian military.  People of Egypt are angry over these developments that have stolen away their dreams and the Revolution. We already know the instance of Pakistan an erstwhile friend of U.S.A, now seething with Anti-Americanism. It seems true that U.S.A is losing its charm and sheen rapidly, along with the decline in its economic might and aggravating internal problems. Today’s incident of the shoe throwing on the convoy of U.S foreign secretary does mean this alone. May be we would see this ‘super power’ America soon joining the ranks of the erstwhile one’s in the recent history i.e. Dutch and Great Britain.
