Sources have stated that elaborate arrangements have been made for the grand celebrations of second anniversary of Telangana Formation Day on June 2nd and all government offices, historical places, heritage structures and major streets in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad have been illuminated for the occasion. 


The State Government has already sanctioned Rs. 30 lakh for celebrations to each district. The occasion is also being celebrated at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi at about 9.45 AM and the Chief Minister would pay floral tributes to martyrs of Telangana at Gun Park opposite Legislative Assembly building.


KCR will then unfurl the India’s largest flag erected on the tallest flagpole at Sanjeevaiah Park and the 72 feet by 108 feet flag is made up of polyester and weighs around 92 KGs. The proposed height of the flagpole is 303 feet which is 10 feet more than the current tallest flagpole pole in Raipur of Chattisgarh.


The Chief Minister will distribute awards among eminent personalities after delivering his speech and a series of cultural programs have been organized at different places in the city to mark the occasion.
