Sources have stated that a special court is conducting trial in the sensational of 2002 riots, Gulbarg society Massacre case in which the former MP was among those killed and the court is likely to pronounce the verdict on Thursday.


It is said that a special judge PB. Desai who has been conducting a protracted trial in the case and has asked the lawyers of all the parties to be present in the court on June 2nd , when the court may deliver it's judgement for Massacre of 69 persons in a Muslim dominated housing society in Northern Ahmedabad.


The case was among the nine most important cases which were reinvestigated by the Supreme court and has appointed a special investigation team which was headed by the former CBI director RK. Raghavan. The prosecution agency have submitted that the Massacre was a preplanned conspiracy as rioters had dominated the minority dominated housing colony in that area.


Nearly 338 witnesses were witnessed by the court during the trial that had begun during 2009. This has happened almost many years after the gruesome Massacre was carried out. currently nine accused have been languishing in jail for more than 10years  while remaining out on bail.
