Sources have stated that the state government on Thursday has asked the Bihar School Examination Board not to release merit lists of Class X and XII exams in future before subjecting toppers to individual interviews and checking their answer sheets.

Meanwhile the Education minister Ashok Choudary has said the board was also scanning CCTV footage at the centers where Class XII toppers wrote their papers and they want to ascertain whether or not dummy candidates were roped in.

It is shown that Arts topper Ruby Ray had in a video called political science 'prodigal science', and has said the subject was about cookery, where she has scored 91 out of 100 in political science and she has scored 444 out of 500 but was clueless even about the maximum marks. Choudhary has admitted the video had raised many embarrassing questions.

It is also said that evaluators and invigilators would also be punished if found guilty and the Board sources has said both Ray and Shreshtha were from Vishun Ray College in Vaishali and even the third topper (science), Rahul Kumar, was from the same college.
