Sources from Washington have stated that the US has today returned to India over stolen 200 cultural artifacts which are estimated at $100 million with the PM Narendra Modi describing the cultural heritage as binding force in the bilateral relationships and usually the relationships between the countries of the world are covered by the present.


The PM has told at the ceremony which was held at Blair House that it is present that plays the big role but sometimes heritage becomes important in the relations of two countries. He has also told that in the last two years various countries have endeavored to return India various stolen cultural heritage.


The PM has said in his brief remarks that these artifacts may be measured in monetary terms and could be in millions for them, but for the people of India, is a part of the culture and heritage that joins our past and to our values. He has also added that tourists don’t want to see modern sites, but they also want to see the rich history a place offers.


He has told that majority of the pieces repatriated in the ceremony was seized during Operation Hidden Idol and an investigation has begun during 2007 after Homeland Security Investigations special agents have received a tip about the shipment of seven crates which is destined of the US manifested “Marble garden table sets”.
