Sources from Hyderabad has revealed that SHE Team cops in the twin cities are not just cracking down on eve teasing, but have taken on workplace harassment and e-stalking head-on and these teams have in the recent past nabbed a director of a banking and finance MNC, an advocate, a director of Switzerland-based firm and a medical practitioner for tormenting women at the workplace.
During February 2016, SHE Team cops in Cyberabad has made their first big catch when they nabbed a 52 year-old director of a banking and finance MNC, which has its office at Gachibowli financial district, for willfully tarnishing the character of a senior woman colleague.
The victim has reported the incident to the 'ethics committee' of the MNC, where the committee, after an internal probe has found that the director had indeed crossed the line and facilitated a change of supervisor for the victim.
The ACP has told that SHE team cops use spy cams fitted in pens, caps, car key chains and ID cards and the videos act as evidence in the court and if the evidence is not there, most of the times family members of offenders claim they are innocent and accuse the police of making false cases and thereafter the counseling sessions, many offenders leave the room in tears as changed men.
