Sources from Hyderabad have stated that M. Venkaiah Naidu, who was given the high profile information and broadcasting ministry in Tuesday's reshuffle of the Union Cabinet, has said that his main task was to disseminate information about the government's developmental programs to the people.
It is stated that Mr Naidu has taken charge of the new portfolio, which is in addition to his urban development, housing and urban poverty alleviation portfolio which was held at Shastri Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Mr Naidu has also said that the Prime Minister had given him I&B to take the fruits of development and take information to the people which is his primary task and he will interact with everyone and work for the accomplishment of this goal.
He has added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have given a thrust to development and brought in reforms and the economy is vibrant and we have provided good governance and people should know what is happening in the government which is his top priority.
