Indian IT firms got huge shock when a bipartisan group of two US lawmakers has introduced in the House of Representatives a legislation,if passed by the Congress,prevent Indian companies from hiring IT professionals on  H-1B and L1 work visas. 


This will have major impact as big Indian companies are following model which is dependent on H1-B  and L1 visas in US. Democratic Congressman Bill Pascrell from New Jersey and Republican Dana Rohrabacher from California introduced by the ' H-1B and L-1 Visa Reform Act of 2016'


This law would prohibit companies from hiring H-1B employees if they employ more than 50 people and more than 50% of their employees are H-1B and L-1 visa holders. 


The bill to become a law signed by  US President Barack Obama, it needs to be passed by the Senate, wherein it has not been tabled so far.The two sponsors of the bill hail from the two US states whichc have the maximimum Indian Americans.
