When the state of Telangana was formed, naturally it is an expectation that the local people would be now entitled to most jobs and government contracts. Due to the sentiment, it is believed that the TRS government will be encouraging local youth and companies.
Andhra are receiving lucrative contracts
However, during last two years, it has only been proved otherwise. Even as the locals are still languishing for lack of opportunities, companies from Andhra are receiving lucrative contracts, real estate deals and permissions for all industries. This is proving to be beneficial for them.
It is heard that in the crucial software sector, it is Andhra companies which are calling shots. The government has reportedly given contracts for development of many departmental websites to a Visakhapatnam based company. The credentials are being checked out for every project.
In a way this confirms the allegations of the opposition parties and also Telangana JAC that projects worth thousands of crores are being granted to Andhras in irrigation sector as well. It is in direct conflict to the sentiment of Telangana. Well this is the state of affairs in TS!
