Andhra Pradesh sources have stated that with the hopes of getting special status dashing off, AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has intensified fight against union government to get its due share.

Naidu has said the package of nearly Rs 1300 crore which was declared by centre is nominal and that it will not help to address the state's financial crisis and he has demanded Prime Minister Modi government to decalre special package for Andhra Pradesh on par Bhundelkhand was given.

Naidu has wondered why the centre was not serious to fulfill all the promises made in the AP reorganization act and despite Supreme Court directed to address the pending division of state higher education council but no action was taken towards this end.

Meanwhile the centre is showing indifferent attitude towards the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh and so the chief minister has said that lack of centre support to AP will land the state in more backwardness in future.
