Heavy Rains have lashed out Hyderabad and that has even caused waterlogging in most of the areas. Due to rains, there have been massive traffic jams and people were stuck on roads. People were advised to stay indoors. There have been heavy downpour reaching upto 95.75mm in two hours.


The weather office has forecast thunderstorm with rain through the day. An official from Traffic helpline said they have received more than 100 calls with respect to traffic jams and water logging. Latest update revealed that heavy rains have claimed seven lives in Hyderabad.

Four from a family in Ramanthapur at Uppal and three of another family at Bholakpur in Musheerabad. The areas affected include Nampally, Medicity Hospital, Adikmet flyover, Tilak Nagar Railway Bridge, Allagadabavi, Chilkalguda, Road No 10 Banjara Hills, KCP Junction, Afzal Gunj, ST. Anns School, Fever Hospital, Tolichowki X Road, Begum Bazar L&O PS, Nalgonda X road, AY Mandali, Panjagutta, Nagarjuna Circle.


GHMC Commisioner Janardhan Reddy has appealed to citizens not to travel for one hour in the city. Water has entered some houses in Yakutpura Qazipura. Stay tuned for more updates.
