Hyderabad is world famous for historical monument Charminar. Whoever happen to visit Hyderabad, they make it a point to visit Charminar. Charminar is the pride of Hyderabad and many terror organisations target Charminar to hit on the pride and shaan of the people of the city.
Now it is comingout that Charminar is in real danger. Many may be under the impression that there may be terror treat and intelligence agencies announced red alert to protect Charminar.
It is comingout that Chaminar which is celebrating its 425 birthday on Oct 9th is in real danger and threat is not from any terror organisation but people of the city only. People are forgetting the fact that in 1666AD French traveler Monsieur Thevenot said “There is no edifice like Charminar in the whole city which appears so splendid to eyes,”
Now the historical monument is neglected by its own people and poorly maintained surroundings that robs of its aura and magnificencce. Vendors encroaching the surroundings make the place even more chaotic.
Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which is the custodian of Charminar and the Golconda Fort, both in Telangana State is preserving the structures with conservation and restoration works frequently.
They are even undertaking steps to educate visitors about the activites with in the premises of the structures. Government too in a protective measure banned plying of autos and buses around Charminar as fumes, vibrations, dust among other pollutants and the vagaries of nature are eating into the vitals of the historical edifice.
Even then cars,cabs,two wheelers are polluting the monument along with the dust from the constreuction sites. Pollution is recorded three times higher than the normal level.
