Andhra Pradesh sources have stated that protesting against the denial of granting special status to Andhra Pradesh by the union government, all opposition parties and social organizations has called AP Bandh on September 10th (Saturday).
Presently the AP Special Status Sadhana Samithi
has called the bandh and the opposition YSR Congress party, Congress, CPI and
CPM parties has extended support, where the opposition leaders have alleged the
centre to take U turn on according special status to AP and has declared only
special package.
Meanwhile, the opposition party leaders have
already catapulted agitation across Andhra Pradesh and have staged protests
before central government offices on special status.
In an interesting development, TDP MP from
Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency Avanti Srinivas has catapulted diksha in
the port city demanding centre to establish Railway zone in the state and as
per the AP Reorganization act, the Centre has promised to set up railway zone
in Visakhapatnam.
