Train collision in Pakistan

Collision between Karachi bound passenger train with a freight train near Multan in Punjab province of Pakistan resulted in the death of 6 people and left 150 injured. The incident happened near Buch railway station in Sher Sha region. Accident occurred when a man was run by a freight train and the driver stopped the train to takeout the body. Awam Express which was heading on the sameline collided with the stationary goods train. 


Iranian Petrochemical factory fire injures 4

A gas leak in the Mobin factory located in the south port city of Asaluyeh,resulted in fire resulting in injuries to four. Sources say fire is under control and will be extinguished soon. Factory management halted its operations to prevent any further damage. It is not clear about the causes for the fire. Iran is the top exporter of petrochemical products. 


China warns Taiwan

Cina warned Taiwan for permitting Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama to visit the nation. It is known that China regards 80 year old Dalai Lama as a separatist. Taiwan's former president, Ma Ying-Jeou didnot allow Dalai Lama into the country after 2009. Taiwan's new President Tsai Ing-wen, however allowed Dalai Lama this time after he congratulated on her remarkable victory. 


Germany shuts embassy, consular offices in Turkey

Germany closed its embassy and other consular offices along with a school in Turkey. Germany's action comes following fears of a possible attack. Germany's move was as a precaution after its Foreign Ministry came into reports of a rumoured attacks on consular facilities in Turkey during the Eid al-Adha holiday week. Germany foreign ministry declined to cmment but confirmed that its embassy in Ankara and other offices were shut temporarily. 


UK parliament to ratify Brexit legislation

Brexit Minister David Davis,informed a parliamentary committee that Britain's parliament may have to ratify the country's exit from the European Union. He said "There has to be some legislation (to enact Brexit), no doubt about that," referring to the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010. 


Saudi Arabia says US 'sponsors of terrorism' bill will fuel extremism

Saudi Arabia's senior policy advisory condemned US bill which enables  families of victims of the September 11 attacks to sue the kingdom for damages stating that it will fuel extremism. The US House of Representatives passed the "Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act," known as JASTA.Fifteen of the 19 hijackers who crashed airliners in New York, outside Washington and in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001 were Saudi nationals and Saudi government lobbied against the bill but The White House has threatened to veto the measure.
