Sources have stated that in a tragic incident, a 3
year old boy was burnt alive and seven others were injured when a bus coming
from Shirdi to Hyderabad has caught fire at Humnabad in Karnataka on Friday
morning.
It was stated that as the fire mishap has occurred
in Karnataka, the police at first have suspected that the bus was set on fire
by violent agitators as part of the ongoing protest over the Cauvery water between
Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and they however has arrived to a conclusion that the
bus was burnt due to short circuit.
It was also added that the bus belonging to a
Private Travels has caught fire at around 6AM when the passengers were still
asleep and the passengers reportedly were rescued by a nearby dhaba workers,
after the driver and cleaner has escaped without alerting the passengers on
board. During this pandemonium, a family belonging to Tanuku in Andhra Pradesh
left behind their three year child Nihaan and the kid has died due to burn
injuries.
Meanwhile it was stated that there were around 30
passengers in the bus bound for Hyderabad and the injured were reportedly
treated at a hospital in Humnabad. Meanwhile, Telangana Transport Minister
Mahender Reddy has directed the officials to make all the necessary
arrangements to bring the victims safely to Hyderabad.
