Deadly terror attack on Indian army base Uri in Jammu and Kashmir killing 17 soldiers and injuring many once again brought into focus India's intelligence and security alertness and political will power to deal with the dastardly acts.
Successive governments be it Congress or BJP often adopted double standards while in opposition and in power. Many right thinking people feel this is demoralising the armed forces. Their hands are often tied as was seen in Kashmir.
Right after any terror attacks, leaders come with routine statements like condemning the act of cowards, we will avenge the perpetrators but after that they go into silent mode just by paying tributes and condoling the death of the innocents and soldiers.
Human right activists always bat for the rights of the terrorists and during terror strikes they disappear fearing public anger. Uri's attack is the one of the deadliest on the security forces in the recent past. Earlier in June, 8 CRPF personnel were killed and 20 injured. In December last year 6 personnel were killed in Kashmir.
It is comingout that breach at two points one at LOC and second at the perimeter of Army base was responsible for the terror attack. This came even after intelligence warning of impending terror strike. After repeated attacks people who are suffering the most are demanding punitive action against Pakistan.
Many are demanding attack on Pakistan crossing the borders going all out. But till now nothing happened as like earlier during 26/11 Attacks, Kargil war, Parliament attack, Pathankot attack to name a few. For armed terrorists killing 17 soldiers is unprecedented and serious security lapse.
Many times after the terror attacks form across the border like it happened during Kargil and 26/11 Mumbai attacks,India instead of acting decisively, went across the world like cry babies begging for action from world nations against Pakistan.
They except for condemning the attacks and shedding crocodile tears didnothing. India instead became a laughing stock as world willnot respect nation which run around crying after attacks but retaliate like the way Israel does everytime continuously bombing enemies till they come begging down, without even receiving the phone calls from the world leaders or USA which thunder asking the world nations to chose between it or the perpetrators sending shivers down the spines of Pakistan and other terror nations.
Everyone knows that India is the biggest global market and no country can afford to lose Indian market. If India donot act decisively, all the strong image PM Modi built across the world with his powerful actions will go invain and his image will be dented. Inaction from India will make world think that India an eunuch and impotent against terror attacks. Government should warn world that if they want to do business, it should support its actions against terror nation.
