Till sometime back the Telugu Desam Party maintained a ‘two eye’ stand towards the Telangana issue and suddenly during his tour of Telangana region, the president Chandrababu Naidu gave the party’s allegiance to the separate Telangana state. This came as a surprise because TDP comprises majorly of Samaikyandhra leaders.
But still, it is heard that all of them were quiet or were told to be quiet. In this juncture, a new report is coming up. It is heard that the TDP Samaikyavaadis have got a new agenda. They are coming up with the demand that Hyderabad must be made the second capital of India.
They are referring to the suggestions made by the great B R Ambedkar in 1955 and feel that this is indeed a worthy suggestion. The likes of Sudeesh Rambhotla, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and others are pushing this thought quite strongly. Whether it is a genuine demand or is it another counter strategy plotted by Babu himself no one knows.
