It does sound a bit crazy but then for many in India, elections mean a festival of votes and for those below the poverty line it is a feast for getting props, gifts and what not just to sell their vote. But India is not just about them, it is about the common man who is the honest and sincere tax payer.  It is his back that gets broken each time there is a price hike in commodities and other things. Today, the very mention of election is bringing shivers down the spine of the common man. For him, he is not going to get the leader of his choice and those who come will not spare a single penny and leech it out in the form of taxes and other financial slapping.  The year 2014 will have elections and if things have a change then we could have a midterm facing us. Be it that or this, the common man’s fear is the same. At this moment, the common man doesn’t even have the hope that things are going to improve for the better. He would only pray that he doesn’t get stripped further.
