Whether our government or the state will score any new record towards development or not it will surely create another record in terms of project completions. Some of the most fundamental and the prestigious projects in Andhra Pradesh have been carrying on for years together. The reason for the delay is pure dirty politics.
For instance, two flyovers in Hyderabad took more than ten years to be completed. And one project that one could boast of is Polavaram. It is ages since the project started and till date it has been riddled only with corruption, complaints, poor quality and all forms of problems causing severe difficulty to the local people.
There is already a talk that MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao’s company has played a key role in getting the contract for the project though a Russian company is involved in it. Some committee was also set up to look into the matters but ultimately the same company is again getting reassigned. This is the best example for crores of public money going waste.
