There has been intense destruction by Maoists in Chhattisgarh for the last couple of years and this is casting a big impact on law & order and development in the state. Hundreds of innocent people and soldiers are losing their life in this battle with each passing year and it is getting worse by the day.

The recent mayhem involving the killing of top Congress leaders in the state in a brutal way by Maoists was the last straw. It has to be remembered that even in AP, till 2006 this was the situation but effective tactics by Naidu regime and later on the climax show put by YSR eliminated Maoist safe havens from the state such as Nallamalla and North Telangana.

Grey hounds of AP is considered by security analysts across the country as the most effective tool against them and it’s high time that Chhattisgarh emulate AP’s political and security experience to win over the Maoists completely. Discussions are also showing on this as the major issue in the case of small states.
