There appears to be more politics behind the relocation of the CBI chief V V Lakshminarayana to his parent police department in Maharashtra., after ending a seven year tenure in the agency .
VVL had been on two years extension in CBI after the Jagan case blew up in the face of the congress in AP. He was asked to handle it with kid gloves by which he gave apparently full leverage to Jagan in the probe which began on August 2011 till May 2012 , for his arrest.
While Sakshi has been blaming him for leaking information to Jagan baiters, VVL says he had nothing to do with the leakage which apparently happened at the instance of Delhi bosses at Delhi end . Sakshi even tried to maim VVL by trying to procure his call data through clandestine route.
Now with his transfer the case is expected to go at snail speed, says VVL critics . But VVL aides say that the case is now a shut and trial stage and nothing can be changed excepting the date and trial period . Jagan followers say that the intention of Delhi bosses would be to keep him in jail till the election announcement . But all political analysts know that such a release on bail at the brink of polls would be advantageous to Jagan and not to his detractors in Congress and the TDP.
Lakshminarayana received orders from the CBI top brass in Delhi, asking him to hand over the charge to Arunachalam, joint director of CBI in Chennai.Lakshminarayana would formally hand over the charge to Arunachalam on June 11 and go back to his parent cadre Maharashtra. He is expected to take over a key position in the Mumbai police department, sources said.
Lakshminarayana, who was with the Anti-Terrorist Squad in Mumbai, came on deputation to the CBI, Hyderabad in 2006. The Satyam Ramalinga Raju ,the sensational Obulapuram mining scam of Gali Janardhan Reddy and now the illegal assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has earned him national limelight and also two extensions since 2009.
Perhaps the Delhi bosses see that with political developments had come to a no turn stage and they take a decision soon on CBI cases and Jagans bail . Already one case is diluted and non-bailable sections were sections were being withdrawn much to relief of Jagan lawyers .Soon similar amendments may be withdrawn to his comfort and his exit from Chanchalaguda may become smoother .
It is history later as there were nearly 28 political leader at national and regional level ( both congress and others ) facing CBI probes- arrest and bail and still scot free and conducting their political activities- wedding of their children and grand children and also making money , perhaps by the same route .
VVL is also known for his social media networking with alumni of his college days and school days and has recently donated his huge library and books to a school in Warangal and also has announced plans to adopt a school in future .
