1.  Telanagana man jailed in Dubai for banned medicines :  A man from Nizamabad districthas been sentenced to seven-month jail term in Dubai for carrying banned medicines.The Telangana government is trying to provide legal aid to Poosala Srinivas, who unwittingly carried the parcel without knowing its content. "We are making efforts through our Indian embassy ," said IT and NRI affairs minister K T Rama Rao in a tweet.
2.  Dalai Lama to visit Hyderabad on February 12 :  The Dalai Lama will visit the city on Feb 12 for the ground-breaking ceremony of the new South Asia hubof the Dalai Lama Center For Ethics and Transformative Values.
3.  Krishna water: Telangana gets 15.5 tmc ft, AP 18.5 :  The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) on Wednesday allocated 15.5 tmc ft water for Telanganaand 18.5 tmc ft for Andhra Pradesh.
4.  She won't hide her face or trauma after 14 surgeries :  Before she turned 18, Pushpahad learnt lessons which would last her a life time.Looked down upon by her brother for being a woman, and struggling to make ends meet, she always had a tough life. 5.  72-yr-old man held for 11-yr-old girl's rape :   A 72-year-old man has been held for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl several times at his residence in Injapur, Vanasthalipuram, over the past several months. The accused, Krishna, was nabbed on Wednesday after the issue came to light recently.
6.   Telangana seeks Rs 759cr to fix killer highways :  In a big relief to people travelling on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway , the Telangana government has decided to construct vehicle underpass (VUP) and passenger underpass (PUP) roads at accident-prone areas in Chityal, Narketpalli and Choutuppal. 
7.  Telangana govt's chicken push to revive poultry business in villages :  The Centre and the state governmentare coming together to revive backyard poultry rearing that was once common in the villages of Telangana.

2.  5 members of highway robbers’ gang held :  The Gangavaram police in Chittoor district on Tuesday night nabbed a five-member gang of highway robbers at Vaddipalle village of Mulbagal taluk of Karnataka.
3.   DGP puts cold storage owners on notice :  Director General of Police N. Sambasiva Rao has put the cold storages on notice and asked the managements to put in place foolproof fire fighting systems in view of recurring incidents of fire.
4.  Student found dead in her room : 
      20-year-old student of Bapatla Agricultural College was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her room, Bapatla police said.
5.  Rally in support of women’s parliament :  Hundreds of school students, teachers and women took out a rally in Machilipatnam on Wednesday in support of the National Women’s Parliament beginning in Vijayawada on February 10. The participants raised slogans for the welfare of women and sought equal rights.
6.  Merger plan okayed at RMC meet :  The Extended Master Plan covering 10 more villages in the Municipal Corporation of Rajamahendravaram was unanimously approved at the general body meeting held here on Wednesday after suspension of the entire Opposition members. 
7.  Cricket with a difference enthrals spectators :  For the hundreds of cricket buffs gathered at Mulapadu cricket playfield on Wednesday morning, it was a new experience as they witnessed a World Cup T20 contest between India and Nepal for the visually challenged.

10.  Amaravati infra designs approved by CM :  The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) will take up infrastructure works in the capital city in a phased manner. The authority, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has approved the designs prepared by China-based GIIC and Indian company Aarvee.
