Suspecting that few are still remaining in the wilderness of mountains and forests a survey by unmanned aerial vehicles or sorties by conventional copters is launched today in the Kedarnath and Badrinath valley . Army and para militaryhave depoloyed their special gadgetry including robotic vehicles - unmanned trucks and also air craft used normally in war period to trace missing pilgrims .
The state Government is still clueless about total pilgrims though it put out the figure at over 10,000 now so far only 2544 are accounted in relief camps and AP Bhavan. Southern Travels had listed over 7000 pilgrims besides another 15 small time travel agencies .
State Government officials said among pilgrims to Uttarakhand 436 reported missing, 822 were from Hyderabad, 1,200 had returned while 920 others were lodged in camps etc. The death toll is 14 so far of which 8 bodies have been brought to Hyderabad
