Ram Mandir and Ayodhya always enter centre stage whenever Uttar Pradesh goes to polls. The emotional flavour and sentiment attached to it attracted not only people of Uttar Pradesh but entire country.
Under these circumstances many are left wondering whether 'Prophet' and 'Qoran' will help a candidate to win in the temple town of Ayodhya. It is known that BJP,SP,BSP and Congress are leaving no stone unturned to win the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
While BJP didnot even field single muslim candidate, other parties are trying to woo people through muslim candidates. Now BSP's Bazmi Siddiqui,only muslim candidate in Ayodhya is trying to win the elections.
He has been quoting 'Prophet' to seek votes from the people. Addressing a rally he says Ye Islam ki aur uske Nabi ki seekh hai ke tum sachche Musalmaan nahi agar khud aaram se khana kha kar so jao aur tumhara padosi bhookha reh jae (This is the teaching of Islam and its Prophet that you're not a Muslim if you go to bed satiated while your neighbour goes hungry).
Siddiqui is attracting the attention of all as Ayodhya's only muslim candidate coining Urdu and Hindustani words. Md. Siddiq, 85 year old says “SP aur BJP ka vidhayak dekh liya ab ek mauqa BSP ka bhi deibey. Jhamajham sarkar chalegi jaise behenji ki chalti hai. Unka bitwa tumhaar bitwa se jada sundar toh naahi ke eeke liye ote diebo (You have seen SP and BJP MLAs. Now give BSP a chance. Your son is no less good looking than their sons -Akhilesh and Rahul -if you vote on that criteria)," and add “Ladke ki sacchai se bahot prabhavit hun main.Agle saal peace party ko ote deen tha, eeh baar haathi,“
Waseem a villager says “His being a Muslim is another winning factor,“. Shyamwati, villager from Barauli village, Pura Bazaar says “Humey ookey musalmaan hone se kauno matlab naahi,“. Golu shaes “Heeya ote haathi pe jaat hai (The vote here goes to the BSP),“
Exuding confidence,Siddiqui says “SC population here is 80,000 and Muslims 60,000.Even if there is 70% voting by these two, capturing 55,000 SC votes and 30,000 Muslim votes I will win,“
