According to a survey done by a leading Telugu daily, it is being concluded that the majority of people in this region are against the proposal of Rayalatelanagana. They believe that if this proposal becomes a reality then Ananathapur and Kurnool will have to bear slavery under Telangana while Chittoor and Cudappah will have to bear the slavery of Coastal Andhra.
The people of Seema reportedly voiced their opinion that no one can dare to separate the people of Rayalaseema, a culture that they believe is older than Telangana. Those who support Rayalatelanagana are only those leaders from Ananathapur and Kurnool who have their investments in Hyderabad and are glad to see the Hyderabad connection continue even if the state splits.
But most of the leaders are also opposed to this idea, especially leaders of TDP and YSRCP as they feel this is a strategy of Congress and TRS to confine their leaders Naidu and Jagan to the newly carved state which has Andhra along with Cudappah and Chittoor.
