Its been 18 months that Bihar elections have been over and that there was not a single paise that the Modi Government has released as promised before the elections that Bihar would get Rs.1.25 Lakh crore as a package, said the statement released by RTI.
RTI activist from Mumbai Anil Galgali filed the query with the Union Finance Ministry in December 2016 asking for the details of of Modi’s promises on special packages to various states. He aslo sought details of the action taken on the financial packages.
“About the Rs 125,003-crore special package for Bihar, announced by PM for August 18, 2015 Parmar’s terse reply said that ‘the projects/works will be completed in a phased manner’ though not a paisa has been released till date,” Galgali said.
Galgali also said that it was the Prime Minister of the
country who had promised Bihar a huge package. “Its shame on him for not
keeping up the promise made. Mr. Modi is once again trying to fool the people
with the freebies and other packages” Fired the RTI activist.
