Telangana CM KCR may boast that his government is friendly and will not trouble people by increasing taxes, electric and water charges. However it is comingout that soon people of Telangana will get electric shock.

Finance Minister Etela Rajender in the budget allocated Rs 4,203 crore for power subsidy for 2017-18 as against Rs 4,500 crore in the current financial year.

Out of them Rs 3397 crores will be allocated to Transco for subsidy for agriculture and others. . The trimming of power subsidy allocation comes despite pleas from state power utility Transco seeking more funds to bridge the revenue gap.

With Summer soon to follow, more demand for power will increas the need for additional funding. TRANSCO officials got shock as Finance Minister allocated less funds than they got last yeaer. This will result in TRANSCO raise money by hiking power tariff.
