Gone are the days when political parties gracefully accepted the mandate of the people. When they get mandate in their favour they hail it as their victory in the people's court and boast that people endorsed even their criminal and corrupt track record.
But when the same people voted against them handing crushing defeat, then they express various doubts on the mandate. They question people's intelligence,insult them and take refuge saying votes were rigged, they were threatened, communally divided,polarised and EVM's are tampered.
They in the process refuse to introspect and analyse their shortcomings,strengths and weakness and also where they went wrong. Now after the crushing defeat in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Rahul Gandhi's Congress, Akhilesh Yadav's SP, Mayawathi's BSP and Arvind Kejriwal's AAP doubted the mandate of the people saying muslims never vote for BJP and how they won in muslim majority constituencies.
They came to the conclusion that EVMs are tampered and now decided to complain against the Election Commission to the Supreme Court. In the process they conveniently are forgetting the fact that Congress won in Punjab crushing Akalis.
