1.  PK tweets on north Indian TTD officer ruffle TDP :   Tollywood actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Monday sought to embarrass the TDP regime by his tweets questioning the appointment of Anil Kumar Singhal, a north Indian IAS officer, as TTD executive officer.
2.  Rising mercury sends 'munjalu' sales soaring :  Palm Fruit (munjalu) appears to be in great demand at Purnapul flyover these days. With summer at its peak, commuters can be seen lining up in front of these munjalu vendors from different parts of the city.
3.  Rs 1cr property gutted in Yousuf Bazaar fire :  A major fire broke out at a two-storey commercial complex in the Yousuf Bazaar pocket of Old Cityon Monday morning, spreading panic among locals of the area.
4.  No relief for killer hubby, HC okays preliminary probe :  Rejecting a convicted husband's attempt to acquire freedom on technical grounds, the Hyderabad High Court has said that preliminary work of police does not fall under the purview of the investigation. 
5.  Funds-starved HMDA to fill coffers by auctioning land :  After a gap of five years, theHyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority(HMDA) is getting ready to auction open plots.
6.  Road cutting work to be banned till monsoon end :   Roadcutting in the city will be banned till the end of monsoon, with agencies being permitted in specific cases only based on the necessity. The government agencies have also decided to rectify 97 water stagnation points that cause flooding on the main roads.
7.  No staff, no funds, what can we do, asks GHMC :  The citizens of Hyderabad and even the high court have repeatedly asked theGreater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation over the years to find a solution to the problem of footpathencroachments, but the corporation says it does not have the staff or resources required to pull it off.

Andhra Pradesh
1.  Jagan pays last respects to Narayana Reddy :  The Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday visited Anantapur town and paid last respects to former Anantapur Congress MLA B. Narayana Reddy who passed away in Hyderabad on Sunday.
2.  TS accuses AP officials of trespass :  In a development which caught many outsiders by surprise, officials of Telangana Bhavan on Monday lodged an FIR accusing their counterparts at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan of using its RC bungalow in unauthorised manner.
3.  T.N. CM in Tirumala :  Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu K. Palaniswami on Monday reached Tirumala as part of his two-day pilgrimage to the town. On his arrival at the Padmavati guest house, he was accorded a warm reception by the TTD and district officials. Mr. Palaniswamy will spend the night atop the town and will offer his prayers in the hill temple on Tuesday.
4.  Prakash Reddy new director of airport :  G Prakash Reddy has taken over as new director of Visakhapatnam Airport in the rank of general manager.
5.  Official booked for allegedly amassing assets :  Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Monday raided properties of Karanam Venkata Ranga Sai Kumar, Joint Secretary in the General Administration Department in the Secretariat at Velagapudi, and traced assets worth crores of rupees allegedly amassed illegally.
6.  Campaign on environment protection :  In the run-up to World Environment Day observed on June 5, A.P. Pollution Control Board (APPCB) and Parayavarana Margadarsi Vaisakhi jointly kick-started a month-long campaign with the theme ‘Connecting People to Nature.’
7.  Each Telugu person is a Baahubali: CM :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was all praise for film director S.S. Rajamouli, whom he appreciated for ‘reasserting the power of Telugu people’ by producing the blockbuster movie ‘ Baahubali 2-The Conclusion ’. Interacting with non-resident Telugus at San Jose, Mr. Naidu said each Telugu person was a Baahubali, and exhorted the Telugu persons to emerge as role models in the world. 
8.  Hundreds of people take part in ‘Meekosam’ :  Hundreds of people of East Godavari district thronged the Collectorate here on Monday to participate in the weekly ‘Meekosam’ grievance redress programme.
9.  Prakasam police say it with roses, chocolates :  Motorists, who are used to coughing up fines for various traffic rule violations, are in for a big surprise as police personnel greet them with goodies, to see a positive change in their attitude and develop safe driving habits in them.
