Chennai sources have stated that Central Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that a metro rail service will considerably reduce the movement of around 600 two-wheelers in the city. Yesterday Venkaiah Naidu and Tamilnadu CM Edappadi Palaniswami inaugurated the Mining Metro Train service.



This service is been inaugurated for the very first time in Chennai from Thirumangalam to Nehru Park. Speaking at the function Venkaiah Naidu said the central government is ready to help Tamilnadu Government and the Mining Metro Train service is built with safety measures.

Tickets for the Mining Train service will be available at Metro stations. He said people are given comfortable and safe journey through the system and electric bus facilities should be made available by the state government.



Venkaiah Naidu also said when a single Metro Rail service commences, 16 buses, 300 cars and 600 two-wheelers movement will be reduced which in turn will safeguard the environment from pollution.
